We Are...

Law in Practice is a student-run organization for those interested in law but are under-informed about what the profession entails or how to get started in the field. While we respect the ethics of other prelaw campus groups, our goal is to reach a wider audience at Berkeley; students considering law school but who lack the proper information about applying or, more generally, who could benefit from in-depth explanations of various legal disciplines. Thus, it is our mission to extend the opportunity of membership to all students at UC Berkeley as well as feature speakers from various fields of law for monthly, informal speaking events.

Our Approach

We provide an open and supportive community where students can learn about the legal profession in a personal, down to earth environment. Whether you are prelaw or simply curious about the field, there is a place for you in Law in Practice.
